Symptoms of diabetes

1. Prolonged wound healing:
Due to the rise in blood sugar levels, the production of white blood cells decreases, which has a direct bearing on the immune system. Thus healing after a cut or a scratch takes longer time than normal.
2. Increased urination production:
Excess urine production is also a result of extra sugar in the blood. In order to excrete the extra glucose and sugar, body produces more urine. This in turn may lead to dehydration.
3.Increased thirst:
As the level of sugar in the body rises, the urine production increases. A signal is sent to the brain to dilute it. This scenario results in us feeling thirstier.
4. A diabetic patient also complains of a burning sensation in palm and soles
5. Diabetic patients also experience unusual weight loss. It happens because during urination, they lose excess water and glucose of the body. It is accompanied with dehydration.
6. A characteristic symptom of diabetes, though not harmful, is persistence of a uniform sweet taste in mouth.
7. Vomiting and nausea is often felt by diabetic patients
8. Diabetic patient are also at the risk of heart diseases
9. Diabetic patients also suffer from blurred vision. The excess sugar levels in the body results in loss in body fluids, even from the eye lenses, thus giving blurry vision
10. The patient feels fatigue and tired even without indulging in a heavy physical activity. There is a considerable drop in the stamina level of the patient. It happens because the body uses fat to metabolize energy. Fat consumes the energy to break down, thus giving the patient a feeling of tiredness.
